Quetta Police Officer Convicted to 10Years RI in 2021 Sexual Assault Case

QUETTA: The Session Judge Sariab Division, Mr. Jan Muhammad Gohar, has delivered a significant verdict in the case of Muhammad Nabi, a former police officer. Nabi has been sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined a substantial sum of Rs.1 lakh. In case of failure to pay the fine, further imprisonment awaits the accused, Judge Jan Muhammad Gohar announced.

Police Officer Attempts to Sexually Assualt A Young Girl

In a shocking incident that occurred in 2021, the accused, Muhammad Nabi, who was a police officer at the time, made an attempt to sexually assault a young girl identified as “GJ.” The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Abdul Khaliq Shaheed. Subsequently, a case was registered against him and the Challan was submitted in the court.

In a recent development, it was revealed that the court’s judgment in the case was delivered yesterday. Judge Jan Muhammad Gohar pronounced a verdict that ensures justice is served. Muhammad Nabi has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment with hard labor. Additionally, he has been ordered to pay a fine of one lakh rupees.

Justice Prevails

The judgment is clear in its stance, emphasizing that in the event of non-payment of the fine, the accused will be subjected to an additional six months of imprisonment.
