PTI workers protest removal of candidate Irfan Saleem from Senate Election list

Peshawar: Tensions ran high as PTI workers and supporters staged a strong protest over the alleged removal of Irfan Saleem, the PTI district president for Peshawar, from the Senate election candidate list.

The protest was marked by a press conference where participants expressed their anger, grief, and unwavering support for their leader.

During the gathering, workers emphasized that their opposition was not directed against any individual but was a stand against what they termed as unjust decisions. Irfan Saleem, who rose from being a service worker in the party’s locality to holding the significant position of district president, has become a symbol of resilience for PTI supporters.

The protestors accused certain individuals, including Barrister Saif and former PTI General Secretary Jalal, of conspiring to exclude Saleem’s name through questionable means.

They claimed that Saleem’s name was removed from the Senate list through a conspiracy, with allegations that some involved like Barrister Saif—have suspicious backgrounds, including visits to Adiala Jail.

Supporters also revealed that Irfan Saleem has begun receiving threats urging him to withdraw his nomination papers, but he has refused to back down.

The protesters demanded a review of the Senate candidate list, calling for the removal of opportunists and individuals they described as “ATM-like” figures, including Jalal.

The rally concluded with a resolve to stand firm and continue their struggle for justice, emphasizing their loyalty to PTI and Founder of PTI’s vision.

They reiterated that this is a fight against unfair political tactics, not against any individual.
