The ongoing protest against the extrajudicial killing of Balaach Mola Bakhsh has entered into the fifth day as no progress has been made in the dialogue between the protesters and the authorities.

Notably, all the shops in the region remained shut because of the strike as the family members, and the supporters of the Baloch Yakjehti Council (BYC) and political parties, held sit-ins at the D-Baloch China-Pakistan Economic Corridor road linking Turbat to Karachi and other regions, suspending all kinds of traffic in the area.

The family members are holding the sit-in with the victim’s body. Even after being ordered by the session judge of the Turbat, the FIR on the above mentioned case has not been yet lodged.

Meanwhile, the family of the victim and the Baloch Yakjehti Council leaders are levelling allegations that Najma Baloch, sister of Bakhsh, was taken to an unknown place by the officials of the Kech District Council chairman’s office for talks.

They alleged that, “There was no contact as her mobile phone remained silent for many hours and the authorities were also forcing Najma Baloch to call off the sit-in and bury her brother.”

Considering this, the participants, have, however, refused to call off the sit-in until the FIR was lodged and a judicial inquiry was announced into the extrajudicial killing of Balaach Mola Bakhsh in CTD custody.

It is to be hereby added that, the sit-in protest against the extrajudicial killing of Bakhsh has entered into 5th day. The protestors, while organizing the rally on Saturday has made their way from in front of the sessions court. They were raising their slogans for a judicial inquiry into the deaths of the four individuals.

While denouncing the entire above mentioned incident, Former Senator Haji Lashkari Raisani, raised finger towards the need for a judicial commission to impartially investigate the killing of Balaach Mola Bakhsh. He added that a probe by the judicial commission could really lessen the gap between the people of Balochistan and the state.
