PPP’s arrow lost its way in Kashmir as the lion roars across valley: Azma – Pakistan Observer

Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Bokhari, responding to a statement by Sharjeel Memon, said, “Dear brother, drink some cold water and pour some over your head as well. Morning has arrived.”

Azma Bokhari said the election has concluded and the people of Kashmir have delivered their verdict. She said the PPP’s misconceptions have now been dispelled and its calculations have proven incorrect. She added that, in reality, those alleging pre-poll rigging are upset because their pre-poll rigging plan has failed.

She said that a PML-N candidate recovered bags containing ballot papers from the residence of a PPP candidate on the night before the election. “The PPP’s arrow has lost its way in the valleys of Kashmir, while the lion is roaring across the region,” she said, adding that in the first phase of the Azad Kashmir elections, the people had given their verdict in favour of Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Azma Bokhari said that those who celebrate victory should also learn to accept defeat gracefully. She urged the PPP not to adopt what she described as the PTI’s practice of crying foul after every electoral defeat. She further questioned whether elections in Gilgit were considered transparent because the PPP formed the government there, while elections in Azad Kashmir were being labelled rigged only because the party lost.
