Pollen count increased in Islamabad after rain
The pollen count in Islamabad continued to rise after a decrease during the cloudy and rainy weather.
On Monday, the total pollen count reached 9,488 per cubic meter of air, compared to 4,419 the previous day.
According to data from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the total pollen count in the H-8 sector of the federal capital was 9,488. Pollen levels were recorded at 3,389 in G-6, 3,267 in E-8, and 1,849 in the F-10 sector.
The high level of pollen poses a risk for individuals with pollen allergies, who are directed to take necessary precautions.
The most common pollen types in Islamabad include Paper Mulberry, Acacia, Eucalyptus, Pines, Grasses, Cannabis, Dandelion, and Alternaria. Among these, Paper Mulberry has the highest pollen count at 9,393.
The pollen concentrations for other species are Cannabis 27 (moderate), Grasses 15 (moderate), Alternaria 36 (low), Pine 17 (moderate), and Acacia, Eucalyptus, and Dandelion at zero. The total pollen concentration is 9,488, which is considered very high.
On the previous day, the pollen count for Cannabis was 34 (moderate), Grasses 12 (moderate), Alternaria 41 (low), Pine 23 (moderate), and Acacia, Eucalyptus, and Dandelion at zero.
