PM Shehbaz tasks Bilawal to advocate Pakistan’s peace agenda globally

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has tasked PPP Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari with a crucial diplomatic mission amid heightened military tensions with India.

On Saturday, Bilawal announced via X (formerly Twitter) that the Prime Minister personally contacted him to request his leadership in a delegation aimed at promoting Pakistan’s stance for peace internationally.

This move signifies the government’s intent to leverage Bilawal’s diplomatic experience to navigate the current crisis and garner international support for de-escalation.

Bilawal said he was honoured to accept the responsibility and remained committed to serving the country in “these challenging times”.

The PPP said the committee would also “inform the international community about Indian aggression and its false propaganda”.

Likewise, the Indian government announced that a seven-member delegation would visit key partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council.
