ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed all ministries to promptly prepare recommendations for domestic and foreign investment and development projects related to their respective sectors.
He was chairing a meeting of the Federal Ministries on implementation of Economic Governance Reforms on the first day of the New Year in Islamabad on Thursday (today).
The prime minister said institutional and administrative facilitation for investors is the government’s top priority.
Shehbaz Sharif directed that special importance be given to proposals for promoting the export sector to increase investment and the proposed development projects.
He emphasized inter-ministerial coordination and cooperation between federal and provincial governments for effective economic reforms and overall economic growth.
The prime minister directed the concerned ministries to provide effective support through Pakistani embassies worldwide to facilitate foreign investors.
He said the ministries should give equal attention to industrial production, agriculture, and all other key sectors to increase investment.
