Pakistani Celebrities Steal the Spotlight in Red Sea Film Festival

As the Red Sea International Film Festival gets ready to wrap up its third edition on Saturday, The Ritz-Carlton in Jeddah continues to host a glamorous crowd of famous people throughout the 10-day event.
The festival announced its winners on Thursday, and Pakistani filmmaker Zarrar Kahn’s movie “In Flames” won the prestigious Golden Yusr for Best Feature Film. In an Instagram video, the director expressed his excitement, saying, “I just received the incredible news that we secured the top prize at the Red Sea Film Festival. I truly wish I could be there to celebrate this momentous occasion.”
“I can’t believe it! I am so grateful to the jury, to the programmers, to everyone who watched and championed our film. This prize is life-changing for us, for Pakistani cinema, Pakistani independent filmmakers.” Kahn further went on to congratulate his cast. “There’s a village and an army that came through to make this film,” he concluded.
Adding more glamour to the event, famous Hollywood stars like Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Sharon Stone, Michelle Williams, Freida Pinto, Joel Kinnaman, Paz Vega, Sofia Vergara, and Baz Luhrmann attended.
From Pakistan, well-known actors Humayun Saeed, Mahira Khan, and Ahad Raza Mir also attended the prestigious event. While Mahira and Ahad haven’t shared details about their experience yet, many photos of their moments at the Red Sea Film Festival are circulating on social media.
Dressed in fancy dark outfits, the actors from “Bin Roye” posed alongside Oscar winner Andrew Garfield and Bollywood star Alia Bhatt. At the same time, the lead actor from “Yakeen Ka Safar” looked sharp in a stylish navy outfit while walking the red carpet.
Saeed shared photos on his Instagram account from the event, expressing his happiness about watching a movie by Michael Mann. In a friendly caption, Humayun wrote, “Having a wonderful time at the Red Sea Film Festival.”
Describing Mann as his “favorite,” the actor happily shared his joy, “Attended the world premiere of Ferrari – directed by one of my favorite directors Michael Mann; always an absolute delight to watch his work.” He added, “Thank you to the festival organizers for their hospitality, warmth & love – a great platform to connect with artists from all parts of the world.”
Saeed shared his outfit selections on Instagram Stories, thanking stylist Rao Ali Khan for putting together the looks. He highlighted two different occasions, first donning a trendy brown suit with a blue shirt from Amir Khan Couture. In his second appearance, he chose an all-white outfit, wearing a traditional kurta with pajamas.
