The Pakistan cricket selectors have announced the squad for the upcoming second and third Test matches against England, which will take place in Multan on October 15 and Rawalpindi on October 24.
Several key players, including Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, have been rested due to fitness concerns and future commitments for the 2024-25 international season. Abrar Ahmed, recovering from dengue fever, was also unavailable for selection.
The squad features new additions such as uncapped players Haseebullah, Mehran Mumtaz, and Kamran Ghulam. Mohammad Ali, a fast bowler, and off-spinner Sajid Khan also join the team. Noman Ali and Zahid Mehmood, who were initially released after the first Test, have been recalled to complete the 16-player squad.
