THAILAND: Pakistan has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship, currently underway in Thailand.
After winning all three matches in the group stage, Pakistan advanced to the crossover round, where they faced Indonesia in their first match. Pakistan triumphed with a straight-sets victory, posting scores of 25-23, 25-20, and 25-20.
In a remarkable comeback during the opening set, Pakistan recovered from a 3-12 deficit and maintained dominance throughout the game, not allowing Indonesia any opportunity to stage a comeback.
Overall, Pakistan took the lead in attack and block points in the match while Indonesia remained ahead in service points.
Pakistan scored 37 attacks and 14 block points against Indonesia’s 34, while Indonesia could only score 3 block points.
Mohammad Junaid, Faizanullah, Saran Baig and Talha Mahar presented the main game from Pakistan, Junaid scored 15 points with 10 attack points and Faizan scored 11 points.
Unbeaten Pakistan and Iran have reached the semi -finals so far from the cross -round Group F, Pakistan will compete with Iran tomorrow in the cross -over round group and Pakistan’s rival in the semi -finals will be decided after the match between Pakistan and Iran.
It should be noted that the Pakistani team has won 4 consecutive matches without drop, while Pakistan also qualified for the U -17 World Championship next year with the semi -finals.
