QUETTA: In a proactive step towards combating corruption, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sub Office Gwadar orchestrated a compelling seminar at the University of Gwadar. The event, centered around the theme “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption,” drew a significant crowd of university professors and enthusiastic students.
Distinguished speakers including Mr. Razzaq Sabir, Vice Chancellor of the University; Dr. Muhammad Rashad, Incharge of NAB’s Sub Office Gwadar; and Mr. Irshad Bulaidi, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Gwadar, graced the occasion with their insights.
In his inaugural address, Vice Chancellor Mr. Razzaq Sabir extended a warm welcome to the NAB team and emphasized the critical importance of the seminar’s topic for the student body.
Dr. Muhammad Rashad, delivering a compelling lecture, urged students to take an active stance against corruption, labeling it as a malignant force that corrodes every facet of society, from investment to ethical conduct. He underscored the pivotal role of youth in the fight against corruption, highlighting avenues such as technology utilization, whistleblowing, and the formation of social advocacy groups.
Mr. Irshad Bulaidi, echoing these sentiments, championed the power of students’ creativity, innovative thinking, and problem-solving abilities as potent weapons in the battle against corruption.
The seminar not only served as a platform for awareness but also ignited a fervor among students to engage actively in anti-corruption initiatives.
