Motorways and National Highways Toll Tax Increased; Check new rates here
The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced a further increase in toll tax rates on both National highways and Motorways, adding to the financial burden on people already grappling with inflation.
As per a notification from the NHA, the revised taxes will be applicable on various routes including M1 Islamabad-Peshawar, M3 Lahore-Abdul Hakim, M4 Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Multan, Motorway M5 Multan-Sukkur, M14 DI Khan, and E35 Hussainabad-Hasan Abdal-Havelian-Mansehra Expressway.
These new tax rates will come into effect on July 1, 2024, and will remain in place until further notice. Under the updated rates, the toll for cars has been raised by Rs30 to Rs40 for National highways, while for wagons, it has been increased to Rs70.
