The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted more rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall over the hills for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan on Sunday evening and night.
This weather pattern is due to a westerly wave affecting the northern regions of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, the Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan are likely to experience more rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall over the hills on Sunday evening and night.
On Monday and Tuesday, most parts of Pakistan are expected to have cold and dry weather, with freezing temperatures in the upper areas.
Islamabad’s minimum temperatures are expected to range between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Monday and 06-08 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, while Rawalpindi’s minimum temperatures are expected to be between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Monday and 06-08 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper/central Punjab experienced rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall over the mountains, with heavy rainfall and hailstorms occurring in isolated areas.
