The inaugural Sindh Premier League (SPL) saw the Mirpurkhaas Tigers emerge victorious, defeating the Hyderabad Bahadurs by a significant margin of 79 runs in the final match held at Karachi’s National Bank Arena.

Choosing to bat first, the Tigers, under the leadership of Umar Amin, set a target of 175/7. The Bahadurs struggled in their chase, managing to score only 96 runs.
In the process of setting the target, team captain Amin made a notable contribution of 32 runs from 20 balls. Wicketkeeper-batsman Haseeb Ullah also put up a commendable performance, scoring 44 runs from 33 balls at a strike rate of 133.33.
Qasim Akram added 18 runs from 15 balls before being bowled out by Mohammad Faizan. Asif Ali could only add 6 runs from 5 balls before Hassan Nawaz caught him off a delivery from Mohammad Faizan.
Danish Aziz added 22 runs from 16 balls, hitting one boundary and one six, before being run out by Irfan Khan Niazi. Yaqoob Jan demonstrated impressive batting, scoring 24 runs from 16 balls at a strike rate of 150.
Mohammad Faizan was the standout bowler for the Bahadurs, taking two wickets, while Jahandad Khan and captain Anwar each took one.
In response to the Tigers’ total, Sajjad Ali and Hassan Nawaz started well, scoring 26 and 24 runs respectively, but the rest of the team failed to contribute, resulting in a substantial win for the Tigers.
Usman Tariq, a mystery spinner, took five wickets in just three overs, while Yaqoob Jan ended with figures of 3/25.
