KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather in Karachi during the next 24 hours, with temperatures expected to remain elevated across the city.
According to the Met Office, the minimum temperature recorded in the city on Thursday was 28 degrees Celsius, while the current temperature stands at 31°C.
However, due to humidity levels, the weather is being felt warmer, with the “feels like” temperature recorded at 33°C.
The PMD said humidity in the air currently stands at 75 percent, contributing to muggy weather conditions.
Southwesterly winds are blowing at a speed of 19 kilometres per hour, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 35°C and 37°C later in the day.
Authorities have advised citizens to remain hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours amid the prevailing weather conditions.
