Lili Reinhart has paid tribute to the late Brittany Murphy by recreating one of her most memorable looks from the 2003 film Uptown Girls.
The 29-year-old actress shared photos of herself wearing the same Blumarine dress that Murphy wore in the movie. The sparkly floral dress features pink flowers and subtle green leaves, which Reinhart paired with floral strappy heels and a hairstyle inspired by Murphy’s original look.
“A genuine dream dress since the day I first saw it when I was 7 years old,” Reinhart wrote in her Instagram caption, recalling the impact Murphy’s character Molly Gunn had on her.
Reinhart’s tribute comes as she promotes her upcoming romantic comedy The Love Hypothesis. The actress has also recreated several other iconic movie looks during her promotional tour.
Earlier this month, she recreated Kate Hudson’s famous yellow dress from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, as well as Drew Barrymore’s romantic look from Ever After: A Cinderella Story.
She also paid tribute to Sandra Bullock by recreating her purple look from Miss Congeniality, with Bullock herself reacting to the homage.
Reinhart’s latest tribute has brought renewed attention to Murphy’s memorable role in Uptown Girls, which remains a beloved early-2000s film among fans.
