KARACHI – Dr Shahid Rasool, the Executive Director of Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital, passed away after suffering a heart attack, confirmed Dr. Amjad Siraj, Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University.
Reports said Dr. Rasool was rushed to a private hospital following the heart attack. Despite being admitted in critical condition, he could not be saved. His sudden demise has left both the hospital and the broader medical community in shock.
Dr. Shahid Rasool had served as the Executive Director of Jinnah Hospital since September 11, 2021. His leadership and contributions to the hospital’s administration and healthcare services had been widely recognized.
His death is a great loss to the healthcare sector, and condolences have been pouring in from colleagues, staff, and medical professionals who worked with him.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has expressed grief over the death of Dr Shahid Rasool.
