ISLAMABAD – More monsoon rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave affects the upper parts of the country.
Under these conditions, more monsoon rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in the twin cities and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, upper Punjab, northeast Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan on Wednesday night. Isolated heavy falls are also expected during the period.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Thursday and 32-34°C on Friday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Pothohar region, upper Punjab, Kashmir, and lower Sindh during the last 24 hours, Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

Jacobabad remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. Maximum temperature in Sibbi, Nokkundi, and Dalbandin was recorded at 46°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 62 percent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 56 percent.
