Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pakistan weather update; more intermittent rains expected – Pakistan Observer

ISLAMABAD – More intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night and Thursday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper and central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.

Under these conditions, intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places in Kashmir, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, southeast Sindh and northeastern Balochistan on Wednesday night and Thursday. Humid weather is likely elsewhere in the country.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Thursday and Friday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Thursday and 32-34°C on Friday.

Meanwhile, rains occurred at places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, northeast Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Sibbi and Dalbandin remained the hottest places in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. The maximum temperature in Nokkundi and Bahawalnagar was recorded at 40°C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 56 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 45 per cent.
