Introducing petrol version of Corolla Cross: a visual tour
Following the launch of its hybrid vehicle, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has launched the petrol version of its crossover SUV, the Corolla Cross. The non-hybrid model is offered in two sizes: 1.8x and 1.8.
Previously, the business introduced the domestically made hybrid Corolla Cross in Pakistan in December 2023, moving away from selling completely built-up (CBU) vehicles. In this blog, we have decided to provide a visual tour of the car, including a full analysis of the design aspects and technological characteristics that the vehicle actually has.
The vehicle is fitted with 17-inch alloy rims and 215/60/R17 tyres. The X variation, the luxury model, has Bi-Beam LED headlights, whereas the base variant has Halogen headlights.
However, both versions have daytime running lights (DRLs) and an Auto Light System with a Follow Me Home feature. Similarly, the premium variant includes LED brake lamps, while the base variant has halogen brake lamps. Furthermore, the top variation includes LED fog lamps, which are not available in the base model.
Both models have a shark fin antenna, a day and night inside rearview mirror, and a back monitor for improved visibility and safety.
Going inside the vehicle, the top variant has dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, whereas the base variant just has single-zone climate control without rear AC vents. Both models have a 4.2-inch colour Multi Info Display (MID), push start, smart entry choices, and EPS tilt + telescopic steering. However, there is a difference in steering material: the premium variant has a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, while the standard variant has a 3-spoke urethane steering wheel.
The top model’s steering wheel includes switches for MID, audio, telephone, voice control, and cruise control, however the base variant does not include a cruise control switch, implying that this function is limited to the top variant.
