Imad Wasim makes big claim about Babar Azam

Pakistan’s all-rounder, Imad Wasim, has dismissed any rumors of discord between him, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Amir.
Imad expressed that the Pakistan team is focused on clinching the T20 World Cup 2024 under Babar’s leadership.
“We have no issues with Babar. He is the captain of the team and we are all supporting him,” Imad affirmed. “Maybe Babar has become captain again because he will lead us to the World Cup trophy.”
The southpaw is also eager to deliver a stellar performance during the prestigious event.
“I want to satisfy people with my performance on the field and play according to the role given to me,” he stated.
The Pakistan team is set to depart for Dublin on May 7, in preparation for their tour of Ireland, following a three-day training camp in Lahore from May 4-6.
Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and batsman Azam Khan are expected to join the camp today, while the rest of the squad members have already commenced their training at Gaddafi Stadium.
Fast bowler Hasan Ali and all-rounder Shadab Khan will not be participating in the current training camp ahead of the Ireland tour.
Shadab and Hasan, who is presently engaged in county cricket for Warwickshire, will link up with the squad in Ireland.
The Pakistan team is slated to play three T20Is in Ireland, followed by four in England. After the England series, the team will head to the United States to participate in the T20 World Cup.
The squad, initially comprising 18 players for the Ireland and England T20Is, will be trimmed down to 15 players for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to commence on June 1, following the first T20I against England on May 22.
