LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against permanent/temporary encroachments and violations of building bylaws on various roads in Gulberg Housing Scheme.
On Monday, LDA enforcement teams removed illegal ramps and boundary walls from Zahoor Elahi Road to Main Market. LDA teams also cleared setback areas in the vicinity of Zahoor Elahi Road.
LDA teams retrieved state land illegally added by two houses by extending boundary walls beyond the actual building line. LDA demolished the boundary walls of these two houses to restore the actual building line.
LDA Director Housing V, Shehbaz Ghurki, supervised the operation carried out by the enforcement teams with the assistance of the Police and heavy machinery.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq directed continuing indiscriminate operations against encroachments, land grabbers, violations of bylaws, illegal commercialisation, and commercialisation fee defaulters. He directed officials to take measures to check the reemergence of encroachments on recently cleared roads in Gulberg.
