LemLoans Is Live on BNB Smart Chain; LemonChain Integration Targeted for Q1 2027, with GeoNova Capital Financial Advisors LLC Committing an Initial $25 Million and the Lemon Foundation Planning Significant Future Ecosystem Liquidity Support
DUBAI, UAE, Aug. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — His Highness Shaikh Khaled Ebrahim Hamad Ebrahim Alqassimi has announced his personal support for LemLoans, a decentralized, non-custodial, overcollateralized, fixed-term lending protocol live on BNB Smart Chain (BSC).
The next major milestone is planned integration with LemonChain, a Layer-1 blockchain ecosystem, targeted for Q1 2027. The Lemon Foundation contemplates up to $2 billion in potential capital support for lending liquidity over five years beginning after January 1, 2027, while GeoNova Capital Financial Advisors LLC has committed an initial $25 million toward LemLoans.
All contemplated support, commitments, integrations and deployments remain subject to agreements, approvals, regulation, funding, market conditions and implementation requirements.
A VISION FOR DECENTRALIZED FINANCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE
His Highness stated:
“I am putting my full personal support behind LemLoans and the vision behind this protocol.
Blockchain technology has the potential to support a new generation of transparent and globally accessible financial infrastructure. The Gulf should not simply observe that transformation — it can participate in building it.
LemLoans represents an effort to create decentralized lending infrastructure where borrowing terms, collateral requirements and protocol mechanics are established transparently and executed through smart contracts.
The protocol is live on BNB Smart Chain today, and the next major milestone is its planned integration with LemonChain in Q1 2027.
I believe LemLoans can become an important part of a broader blockchain ecosystem designed to connect technology, liquidity and real financial utility.”
His Highness’s support is personal and does not constitute governmental, sovereign or regulatory approval, endorsement, guarantee or financial commitment by Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates or any governmental or regulatory authority.
HOW LEMLOANS WORKS
Current parameters include $1,000 to $100,000 loans, 20% to 60% LTVs, fixed terms, predetermined pricing, digital-asset collateral, smart-contract execution and protocol-defined default and collateral rules.
Liquidity providers supply capital, borrowers provide collateral and demand, and smart contracts execute programmed rules. Once requirements are satisfied, transactions may execute without a traditional centralized lending intermediary.
PROTECTED CAPITAL
Certain origination fees, extension fees and qualifying residual proceeds may contribute to protocol-owned reserves known as Protected Capital rather than liquidity-provider distributions.
Protected Capital is separate from liquidity-provider capital and works alongside overcollateralization, maximum 60% LTV parameters, predetermined risk pricing, structured default resolution and smart-contract execution. It does not mean liquidity-provider principal is protected, insured or guaranteed or eliminate the possibility of loss.
BNB SMART CHAIN AND LEMONCHAIN
LemLoans is deployed on BNB Smart Chain and may support approved digital assets, including wrapped or pegged BEP-20 representations, subject to protocol-defined collateral, liquidity and risk parameters.
Development is underway toward planned LemonChain integration in Q1 2027. LemLoans is not currently integrated with LemonChain. If completed, LemonChain would provide Layer-1 infrastructure while LemLoans would provide decentralized lending functionality within the broader ecosystem.
The Lemon Foundation intends to support associated lending liquidity and contemplates up to $2 billion in potential capital support over five years.
H.E. Dr. Fahed Merhebi of the Lemon Foundation stated:
“Our immediate focus is the planned integration of LemLoans with LemonChain, targeted for Q1 2027. In connection with that strategy, the Foundation intends to support the development of meaningful lending liquidity within the LemonChain ecosystem, subject to the necessary agreements, conditions and requirements.
We are building LemonChain to support real utility and financial infrastructure. We believe decentralized credit can become an important part of that ecosystem.”
LemLoans remains a separate decentralized protocol. Planned Foundation participation should not be interpreted as ownership, operation, control or a guarantee of LemLoans or any transaction.
GEONOVA CAPITAL COMMITS $25 MILLION
GeoNova Capital Financial Advisors LLC has committed an initial $25 million toward LemLoans, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Andy Herriot, CEO of GeoNova Capital Financial Advisors, stated:
“Institutional participation in decentralized finance requires careful consideration of risk structure, collateralization, governance, transparency and scalability.
Our initial $25 million commitment is intended to support the development of what we believe can become a meaningful decentralized credit market.”
The roadmap includes continued BSC development, expanded permitted liquidity and borrowing, planned LemonChain integration, institutional participation and scalable decentralized credit infrastructure.
