AI-driven features now available for Google AI Ultra, Pro, and Gemini Alpha users.
Google has rolled out a suite of Gemini-powered AI features across its Workspace apps, bringing advanced capabilities to Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive.
The update aims to simplify workflows, enhance productivity, and make document creation more intuitive for users.
In Google Docs, the “Help me create” tool now generates polished first drafts by drawing context from Drive, Gmail, Chat, and the web based on user prompts. Gemini can also match the style and formatting of reference documents, streamlining the editing process and saving time.
Google Sheets has received a major efficiency boost. Users can now create complete spreadsheets from natural language prompts, while the “Fill with Gemini” feature autopopulates table cells research shows it works nine times faster than manual entry.
Additional optimization tools powered by Google DeepMind and Google Research help resolve complex queries seamlessly.
In Google Slides, Gemini can generate individual slides that align with existing deck themes, with full presentation creation from a single prompt expected in the near future.
Google Drive has also become smarter, featuring AI Overviews in search results and the “Ask Gemini” tool, allowing users to query files, emails, and calendars directly.
These new Gemini features are currently available to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers, as well as Gemini Alpha business customers, and are offered exclusively in English.
