ISLAMABAD:
Drawing parallels between incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, ex-PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday stated that if the former struck a deal with the establishment, he would “become Premier Shehbaz Sharif”.
Talking to journalists outside Lahore High Court (LHC), Fawad predicted that the PTI founder, who was removed from power in April 2022, would not strike the deal with the establishment.

“If he [Imran Khan] strikes a deal, he will become Shehbaz Sharif,” the former federal minister maintained, adding, “now, threat to Prime Minister Shehbaz is not from his house but from those who brought him to power and outsiders”.
Meanwhile, the LHC granted an opportunity to Fawad’s counsels to assist the court in determining whether matters from an anti-terrorism court could be referred to the e-court of the district courts to ensure attendance through video link.
