LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against permanent/temporary encroachments, illegal commercialisation, and nonpayment of commercialisation fees in various areas of Lahore.
On Friday, LDA teams removed permanent/temporary encroachments from two properties and demolished five buildings for violation of bylaws in different blocks of Johar Town.
LDA Director Housing VII, Yawar Bashir Virk, supervised the operation carried out by the enforcement teams with the assistance of the Police and heavy machinery.
LDA teams retrieved eight-kanal land by removing encroachments in Quaid-e-Azam Town’s Civic Centre. Director Housing VI, Rehan Azhar, supervised the operation carried out by the enforcement teams with the assistance of the Police and heavy machinery.
LDA’s Town Panning Wing sealed 10 buildings in Samanabad for illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fee.
LDA’s Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, supervised the operation carried out by the enforcement teams with the assistance of the Police. The sealed premises include a private school, a marque, offices, and shops.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq directed continuing indiscriminate operations against encroachments, land grabbers, violations of bylaws, illegal commercialisation, and commercialisation fee defaulters. He directed officials to take measures to check the reemergence of encroachments on recently retrieved LDA-owned plots.
