LAHORE – Eid ul Azha 2025 is around the corner and Muslims are gearing up for Festival of Sacrifice, with major Eid Namaz gatherings to be held under tight security in Lahore.
Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department completed preparations for Bakra Eid congregational prayers at major mosques and shrines across the region, particularly in Lahore. The move aims to ensure smooth, safe, and well-coordinated worship services for thousands of citizens expected to attend early morning prayers on Eid day.

Among most notable venues, the iconic Badshahi Mosque will host its Eid prayer at 8:30 AM, while Jamia Masjid Darbar Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh will hold its gathering at 7:00 AM with Mufti Ramzan Sialvi leading the prayers.
In total, over 20 major mosques across Lahore will host Eid congregations with arrangements to accommodate large numbers of worshippers.
Punjab government also planned stern security and maintain public order. Cleanliness operations have also been scaled up around mosque areas to ensure hygienic conditions for the public.
Masses have been urged to reach their respective prayer sites well before time, follow security protocols, and cooperate with volunteers and authorities deployed for crowd control and assistance.
