Dr Fazeela Abbasi, Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi’s sister, was granted interim pre-arrest bail on Monday by Special Judge Islamabad Central Humayun Dilaware in a case related to the operation of an allegedly illegal clinic. The dermatologist and TikToker was directed to cooperate with the investigation and join the inquiry process.

Dr Abbasi appeared before the court along with her counsel Naeem Bukhari and filed an application seeking pre-arrest bail. The court accepted the plea and granted bail against a surety bond of Rs50,000, while instructing the dermatologist assist investigators. The hearing was subsequently adjourned until April 15.

Dr Abbasi is currently under investigation in two cases registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Both cases are linked to an allegedly illegal clinic.

She is also on bail in a separate money laundering case, for which the Islamabad High Court (IHC) restored her bail and directed her to approach the trial court for further proceedings.

The development follows the dismissal of Dr Abbasi’s earlier pre-arrest bail plea by the special court due to non-appearance. In a written order, the court observed that the petitioner had remained absent despite the case being fixed for hearing and rejected further relief on medical grounds, terming it a misuse of pre-arrest bail provisions.

Following the decision, Dr Abbasi approached the IHC which granted her interim relief and allowed her to seek medical assistance before the trial proceedings commenced.
