Cattle evicted from Lahore's Jubilee Town, LDA Avenue-I Scheme – Pakistan Observer

LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued cattle-eviction operations in Jubilee Town and LDA Avenue-I Housing Scheme on Tuesday.

Joint teams of LDA and the Municipal Corporation Lahore (MCL) demolished illegally constructed cattle sheds and shifted more than 300 cattle from Jubilee Town and LDA Avenue-I Housing Scheme.

More than a dozen cattle were handed over to the MCL. LDA Avenue-I Director, Umar Sohaib, supervised the operations carried out by the enforcement teams with the assistance of the Police and heavy machinery.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq directed continuing indiscriminate cattle-eviction operations in LDA-controlled areas and housing schemes. He directed the demolition of illegal constructions and encroachments. He also directed action against land-grabbers, violations of bylaws, illegal commercial buildings and nonpayment of commercialisation fees.
