Capital Police intensifies action against traffic violators – Pakistan Observer

In a proactive move to enhance road safety and enforce traffic regulations, the Islamabad Capital Police have intensified their efforts to crack down on drivers who violate traffic laws within the city, a public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, a series of measures are being implemented to make Islamabad a safer city by curbing traffic incidents.

This includes swift action against drivers found in violation of one-way road rules, resulting in the registration of 27 cases across various police stations. Furthermore, several driving licenses have been suspended as a consequence of reckless driving.

The special teams of Islamabad Capital Police have been deployed across key areas and important locations within the city. These teams are focused on maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and strictly enforcing traffic regulations. In the ongoing crackdown against one-way violations, 27 cases have been filed, and multiple driving licenses have been suspended.

All zonal officers have been directed to ensure that traffic laws are rigorously enforced, and violators face legal consequences without any exemptions. Individuals who pose risks to themselves and others through their actions on the road will not be tolerated. Islamabad Capital Police is actively raising awareness among citizens about the importance of traffic laws and the dangers of violating them.
