Writers, poets express solidarity, loyalty to Motherland at FJWU Mushaira
Urdu Department, Fatma Jinnah Women University for women Islamabad has organized a a ‘ Mushaira’ in the main Auditorium of the university to pay rich tributes to the defenders of nation.
MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Prof Dr. Farhat Jabeen poetess and Head of Urdu Department, FJWU, moderated the session. Poets from the twin cities recited their poems written on the love for the country, national unity and sacrifices given by the Pak Army.
Veteran poet Prof Ehsan Akbar presided over the recital.
Among those who recited their kalam included Dilawar Ali (Rahat Sarhadi), Brigadier Awais Zameer, Col Khalid Mustafa, Col Sajid Raheem, Dr. Junaid Aazer, Dr Mehnaz Fatima, Col Saeed Raja, Major Shahzad Nayyar, Group Captain Muneer Qasim, Mazhar Shahzad Khan, Ammad Azhar, Dr Aziz Faisal, Shahbaz Chohan, Dr. Fakhra Maureen, Mehnaz Benjamin, and singer Nazar Abbas.
Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Bushra Mirza addressed the gathering and appreciated all those who attended the event.
