Quetta: A delegation of vice chancellors from public sector universities in Balochistan, led by Prof. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS, met Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti at his office today.
During the meeting, the participants discussed key challenges facing higher education institutions in the province, particularly the ongoing financial crisis and salary issues affecting university faculty and administrative staff.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti assured the delegation of the government’s firm commitment to resolving these challenges and announced the formation of a high-level committee to address the salary issue. The committee has been directed to present its recommendations within one week.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the provincial government is taking concrete steps to support higher education and ensure the timely resolution of universities’ financial and administrative matters.
