QUETTA — In a major political move ahead of the upcoming fiscal year, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has promised a balanced, development-oriented, and public-friendly Balochistan Budget 2026-27. The announcement came during an influential parliamentary committee consultative meeting held at the Chief Minister Secretariat in Quetta.
The high-profile session brought together parliamentary leaders from major political parties, including the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), and the Awami National Party (ANP) to build a joint vision for the province’s economic future.

Direct Focus on Education, Health, and Clean Water
During the detailed parliament deliberations, lawmakers from various districts presented heavy recommendations focusing on the urgent needs of the masses. The primary discussions centered on upgrading the Balochistan education sector, improving healthcare infrastructure, providing clean drinking water, and expanding energy and road networks across the province.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti assured the parliamentary leaders that the provincial government deeply values democratic input and will integrate these constructive public-interest proposals directly into the official provincial budget allocation.
”We are firmly committed to crafting a realistic budget that genuinely reflects the bright future of our province, sustainable development, and the real expectations of our people,” CM Balochistan stated.

Key Priorities for the Upcoming Balochistan Fiscal Year 2026-27

According to official sources, the strategic blueprint for the upcoming financial layout will focus heavily on long-ignored sectors:
Human Development & Employment: Special emphasis is being laid on upgrading schools and hospitals, strengthening the social sector, and creating new job opportunities for youth.

Equitable Resource Distribution:

The government aims to bring backward, remote, and under-developed regions of Balochistan into the national mainstream by ensuring a fair distribution of funds across all districts.
Transparency & Accountability: CM Bugti affirmed that transparency, strict quality control, and genuine public need will be the ultimate benchmarks for selecting any new development project.
Fostering Political Harmony for Sustainable Progress
Acknowledging Balochistan’s limited financial resources, the Chief Minister emphasized that political harmony and collective wisdom are absolutely vital to overcoming economic hurdles and speeding up development work.
The parliamentary leaders widely praised the Chief Minister’s inclusive initiative to consult all political stakeholders during the budget-making process, promising their full support to ensure regional prosperity and relief for the common man.
