Balochistan: 2 Security Men Injured in Duki Landmine Blast

Hussain Zarkoon: Two security personnel were injured in a landmine explosion in Balochistan’s Duki district during the escort of coal transport vehicles, officials confirmed on Friday.

According to security sources, unidentified militants had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Talau Kach area to target security forces protecting coal supply routes. The blast occurred when two personnel, identified as Abdul Rehman and Nawab Khan, were travelling on a motorcycle ahead of a convoy of coal-laden trucks.

The motorcycle reportedly hit the buried explosive, triggering a powerful explosion that left both men wounded.

Following the attack, security forces sealed the area and shifted the injured personnel to a nearby hospital for treatment. A heavy contingent of security forces later launched a search operation in the area to track down the attackers.

The incident highlights growing security concerns in coal mining regions of Balochistan, particularly in Duki district, where militants have previously targeted security teams and transport convoys.
