ISLAMABAD: Former General Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) Asad Umar appeared before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in contempt of the ECP case.
A four-member bench headed by Election Commission member Nisar Durrani heard the contempt of the ECP case and Chief Election Commissioner against Chairman PTI, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry, in which Asad Umar appeared before the Election Commission.
During the hearing, the Member Election Commission told Asad Umar that he never comes and the lawyer never comes. On this Asad Umar said, “I have left politics too, I am submitting a statement”.
Member Election Commission said Asad Umar should do politics.
Later, former federal minister Asad Umar submitted a statement to the Election Commission, on which the member of the Election Commission said that he was issuing orders on Asad Umar’s issue.
The Election Commission postponed the hearing of contempt of court cases till December 6.
