Recently, he revealed why he chose to stand by his ex-partner, Malaika Arora, following her father’s passing a few months ago. The actor explained that once he forms an emotional bond with someone, he remains committed to supporting them.
In a new interview with Raj Shamani, Arjun Kapoor discussed his relationships. He addressed why he stood by his ex-partner during her tough time, despite knowing it would attract significant attention. The actor explained that his decision came from instinct and admitted that once he forms an emotional bond with someone, he remains steadfast in supporting them.
Without citing any one instance, Arjun explained, “If I’ve formed an emotional bond with somebody, I would always like to believe that I will be there regardless of the good and the bad. If I’m invited for the good, I will be there. And if I’m needed for the bad, I will be there.”
Kapoor felt compelled to support his father, Boney Kapoor, and half-sisters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, following Sridevi’s sudden demise in 2018.
The “Namaste England” actor revealed that his fear of losing plays a vital role in his relationships. He shared that losing his mother, pets, and many people close to him has instilled this fear within him. While he is actively working to overcome it, he admitted that this fear has impacted his relationships in the past.
“There is a difference. My mom left me, and my father made a choice. So, there’s a fear of loss. There’s a feeling that eventually, everyone will leave,” he said.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor recently returned to the screen after a long hiatus in *Singham Again*. He portrayed the antagonist in the Rohit Shetty film, which also starred Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Akshay Kumar. Released on November 1, 2024, the film earned Arjun a lot of praise for his performance.
