Ali Amin Gandapur likely to form 12-member cabinet
PESHAWAR: Newly appointed Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur is expected to form a cabinet consisting of 12 members in the initial phase.
Insider sources have revealed that Mushtaq Ghani, former Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, is being proposed for the position of senior provincial minister, while Taimur Saleem Jhagra is being considered for the role of Advisor on Finance.
Other individuals suggested for cabinet positions include Arshad Ayub, Malik Liaquat Ali, Dr. Amjad, Shakeel Ahmed, and Khaleequr Rehman. Additionally, the names of Tariq Mehmood, Faisal Tarkai, Fazl Shakoor, Arif Ahmadzai, and Meena Khan Afridi are under consideration for the 12-member provincial cabinet in the initial phase.
Sources indicate that the final approval for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet will be granted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, Imran Khan.
Earlier in the day, Ali Amin Gandapur mentioned that Imran Khan would make the ultimate decision regarding the provincial cabinet, and he intended to meet with him for this purpose.
It was previously scheduled for the chief minister to meet with incarcerated founder Imran Khan on Monday at Adiala Jail to finalize the selection of cabinet members for the provincial government.
