Earthquake jolts parts of northern Pakistan

A strong earthquake measuring sent shockwaves through parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, startling residents and prompting many to rush out of their homes in fear.

According to reports, the quake’s epicenter was in Swat and was connected to the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, which is known for frequent seismic activity that often affects northern Pakistan.

Strong tremors were also felt in other cities across KP, raising concern among people, though no casualties or property damage have been reported yet.

As the quake struck, social media filled with posts of fear and prayers, with users sharing sudden earthquake alerts. Experts have warned that the region’s fault lines are still active and advised the public to remain cautious as aftershocks may occur.
