Pakistan Defeats West Indies by 13 Runs to Clinch T20I series 2-1

Green shirts rise again, wins T20I series.

Pakistan defeated West Indies by 13 runs in the third and final T20I to win the three-match series 2-1. Chasing a target of 190 runs, the West Indies team managed 176 runs in their 20 overs.

Pakistan batted first and posted a strong total of 189 for 4. Openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan laid a solid foundation with a 138-run partnership. Farhan was the top scorer with a brilliant 74 runs off just 34 balls, while Saim Ayub contributed a fluent 66 before being dismissed by Jason Holder.

Hassan Nawaz added 15 runs, while Mohammad Haris was run out for 2. Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf remained unbeaten on 11 and 10 runs, respectively.

In response, West Indies’ Alic Athanaze stood out with a fighting 60 runs, but the team fell short by 13 runs. Pakistan bowlers shared the wickets evenly, with Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, and Sufiyan Muqeem each taking one wicket.

For the West Indies, Jason Holder, Shamar Joseph, and Roston Chase picked up a wicket apiece.

Pakistan made two changes in their playing XI for the final T20I  Haris Rauf replaced Shaheen Afridi, and Khushdil Shah came in for Fakhar Zaman, who missed the match due to injury. Fakhar Zaman has also been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series.

With this win, Pakistan sealed the T20I series 2-1, ending on a high note after a competitive contest.
