Rally held to mark Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day – Pakistan Observer

A grand rally was organized by Youth Forum for Kashmir Lahore to mark Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day, here on Saturday.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from people belonging to various political, social, and religious backgrounds, as well as members of civil society. The rally commenced from NADRA Office Egerton Road and concluded in front of the Lahore Press Club. Participants carried banners and placards bearing pro-Kashmir slogans, voicing solidarity with the Kashmiri people and demanding an end to Indian occupation.

Addressing the rally, Chief Organizer of Youth Forum for Kashmir Lahore Tariq Khan Ghouri said that Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day is being observed not only in Pakistan but also by Kashmiris and supporters of the Kashmiri cause around the globe. He recalled that on July 19, 1947, the people of Jammu and Kashmir had passed a historic resolution in favor of accession to Pakistan, thereby linking their future with the Islamic Republic. “This day is a powerful reminder of the deep-rooted, natural bond between Kashmir and Pakistan,” he said. “The hearts of Kashmiris have always beaten in unison with Pakistan, and their love for this country runs through their veins like blood.”

Tariq Ghouri said that India has utterly failed to suppress the Kashmiri people’s unwavering resolve through force. “Even after decades of brutal occupation, the Kashmiri people continue to await their UN-mandated right to self-determination,” he said.
