Operation against land grabbers started – Pakistan Observer

 

On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Forest Department has launched a decisive the operation against land grabbers across province. Under the supervision of Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, the department achieved a major success in District Bhakkar.

In a statement, Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb revealed that 24 acres of government land in Rakh Gorwala, Tehsil Mankera, have been retrieved from illegal occupation. The land had been under the control of encroachers for the past 50 years. During the operation, 149 illegal constructions were demolished, and the entire area was handed over to the Forest Department.

The operation was carried out jointly by the Forest Department, district administration, and police. Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb emphasized that encroachment on government land is a crime and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. She affirmed that indiscriminate actions against land mafias will continue, and the anti-encroachment drive will be further intensified in the coming days.
