Pakistan to host ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers
After hosting the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan has now secured the hosting rights for another major cricketing event—the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers.
According to sources, the tournament will be held in various cities across Pakistan before the Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in India later this year.
Participating Teams and Schedule
The qualifiers will feature six teams:
- Pakistan (Hosts)
- Bangladesh
- Ireland
- Scotland
- Thailand
- West Indies
The event is expected to take place in April 2025, with the official schedule to be announced soon by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The top two teams from the qualifiers will secure their spots in the eight-team Women’s World Cup, joining the top six teams from the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25.
Pakistan’s Preparations
To strengthen the national team’s performance for the qualifiers, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has organized a 27-day training camp at the High-Performance Academy in Faisalabad from February 2 to 28. The camp includes 50-over practice matches and training sessions to enhance the players’ skills and fitness.
