Hajj 2025: Pakistani pilgrims to spend Rs9.94bn on sacrifices
The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced that Pakistani pilgrims are expected to spend approximately Rs9.94 billion on sacrificial rites during Hajj 2025, highlighting the substantial financial commitment of the faithful.
Officials confirmed that the sacrificial fee for this year has been set at Rs55,500 per pilgrim.
According to ministry sources, over Rs1.94 billion has already been deposited by more than 35,000 pilgrims under the government’s Hajj scheme for sacrificial arrangements.
A senior ministry official assured, “We have implemented a streamlined process to facilitate sacrificial obligations for both government and private Hajj schemes.”
This year, a total of 179,210 pilgrims from Pakistan are set to perform Hajj, equally divided between 89,605 under the government scheme and the same number through private arrangements.
The official expressed confidence in the detailed planning and coordination undertaken to ensure smooth facilitation of the pilgrimage.
