LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rains in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday night and Saturday.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is predicted in most parts of Punjab on Friday night Saturday.
Cloudy, extremely cold weather with light rain/light snow is predicted in Murree, Galiyat and surroundings. More light rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, Jhelum, Mangla, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura and surrounding areas.
Moderate to dense smog/fog is expected in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Mangla, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas. Frost is likely
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 04-06°C on Saturday and 03-05°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of Punjab and extremely cold in upper districts during the last 24 hours.
However, rain occurred in Lahore and northeast Punjab. Smog/fog persisted in plain areas of Punjab.

Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where the temperature dropped to the freezing point (0°C). Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60 percent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 08°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 94 percent.
