Faakhir Mahmood, a well-known singer recently awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, shared in a recent interview on ‘Hasna Mana Hai’ that he didn’t know who had nominated him for this prestigious honor.
Talking about his early days as a singer, Mahmood mentioned, “When I started my singing career, my parents were initially unsure about my choice. But as they saw my progress and success, they gradually came around and supported me.” He also reminisced, “I wasn’t a troublemaker in school, but I have some fond memories of playing pranks on my friends.”
When asked about his awards, Mahmood recalled receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz from former President Pervez Musharraf, who told him warmly, “I am proud of you.” He also received the same award from President Asif Ali Zardari, who smiled and commented, “You deserve it.”
