- Pakistan cricket team manager Mansoor Rana was fired.
- Reason for Rana’s dismissal is still unclear.
- PCB previously announced Riaz and Razzaq’s removal.
Following the release of Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq from the national cricket team’s selection committee, Mansoor Rana, the team manager, has also been dismissed.
Reports state that despite no issues with discipline during three tours, the decision was made based on verified complaints.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had previously announced the departure of Riaz and Razzaq, noting their lack of contribution to the main and selection committees.
The PCB plans to share more information through the selection commission in the future.
Meanwhile, there are claims that the PCB favored Abdul Razzaq over Wahab Riaz, questioning the latter’s role in the T20 World Cup squad and the selectors’ support for underperforming players.
As per reports, the PCB ignored the opinions of these selectors, except for those of Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq.
The national team’s selection committee consisted of four ex-cricketers: Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, Asad Shafiq, and Muhammad Yusuf, with Riaz also serving as the senior team manager.
