Bushra Bibi blames her food tampered with “harmful” substances at jail
RAWALPINDI: The spouse of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former first lady Bushra Bibi expressed suspicions that her food had been tampered with during her time at Adiala jail.
Speaking to media representatives at the jail, Bushra Bibi disclosed that upon her arrival at the prison, her honey had been contaminated with “harmful” substances.
Despite this, she mentioned that she consumed the honey, placing her trust in the will of Allah. In response to a statement by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah, Bushra Bibi asserted that the PTI founder, Imran Khan, is in good physical and mental condition.
She emphasized Imran Khan’s sacrifices for the nation and stated that he could have opted for a comfortable life in Bani Gala if he desired.
Regarding Imran Khan’s tenure as Prime Minister, she emphasized that he never caused harm to anyone. When asked about public support, she urged people not to endorse dishonest individuals.
Notably, on February 16, Bushra Bibi’s sister, Maryam Riaz Wattoo, mentioned that the former first lady had fallen ill after consuming food provided at Adiala jail.
Maryam Riaz Wattoo asserted that Bushra Bibi had been unable to eat for the past six days due to her health condition, attributing it to the alleged harmful food served at the jail and highlighting that home-cooked meals were not permitted for her.
