The year 2023 was labeled as the ‘marriage year’ for Pakistani cricketers, with several national stars getting married. Yet, despite rumors of his engagement and impending nuptials, there were no hints about Babar’s future wife.
The topic resurfaced when the cricket community gathered for the unveiling of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) trophy for the 9th season.
After the ceremony, Mohammad Rizwan, the captain of Multan Sultans, humorously brought up the subject during a casual conversation with cricket presenter Zainab Abbas.
In response, Babar smiled and told Rizwan that he would discuss the matter with him when they were “alone”.
Zainab continued the conversation by mentioning “everyone has got married”, referring to Shaheen Afridi, Shan Masood, and Shadab Khan, who recently got married.
However, Babar skillfully avoided the question by saying: “Look at all of their faces.”
To this, Shadab responded, “I am very happy [with my marriage].”
