Peshawar Zalmi is aiming to clinch their first Pakistan Super League (PSL) championship since 2017 in the forthcoming ninth season. The team’s popularity has surged with the induction of the renowned batsman Babar Azam in 2023, who currently serves as the team’s captain.
Under the guidance of Babar, Peshawar Zalmi advanced to the playoffs in the last season, but fell short against the reigning champions, Lahore Qalandars, narrowly missing the final.
In the previous eight seasons of the HBL PSL, Peshawar Zalmi has the most impressive record, having made it to the finals four times and at least to the playoffs in all other instances. They are determined to continue their strong performance in the upcoming seasons and are excited about the prospect of playing on their home ground someday.
