The fee schedule for e-passports has been issued by the Pakistani embassy in the UAE. Payments will be collected in UAE dirhams.

  • 72 pages: AED 260 for normal processing and AED 425 for urgent processing.

10-year machine-readable passport fees

  • 36 pages: AED 215 for normal processing and AED 355 for urgent processing.
  • 72 pages: AED 390 for normal processing and AED 635 for urgent processing.

The authorities have also outlined additional charges for lost passports. Applicants replacing a passport lost for the first time will be charged twice the standard fee, while those replacing a passport lost for a second time will have to pay four times the standard fee.

E-passport issuance begins

Pakistan has also begun issuing e-passports through its offices in the country and diplomatic missions abroad.

The new passports feature modern security measures designed to strengthen the security of travel documents and improve identity verification in line with international standards.

Existing machine-readable passports will remain valid until their expiry dates. However, new passports issued or renewed from now on will be e-passports.
